I have had some comms problems for a while. Comms work fine and then just on take-off for planned flight, comms k@k.

This morning I took my Raptor to Centurion FLight Center and had a full Air Magic system installed. Rabit Antenna and the works. Took only a few hours to install. Longest time was spent to get rid of the old system that looked like 2 octopuses (spelling? or in afrikaans seekatte) mating. Took some time to get rid of the old stuff as the octopuses were not ready to let go yet.

Air Magic installed and the test flight. Bloody amazing. I could hear everybody and no weird noises. Just clear communication. This system does not pick up any backround noise and comms are crisp and clear. Tested it while standing next to a lawnmower running and nothing but the pilots voice could be heard.

Air Magic, you beauty. Unbelievable product and thant Flo for doing the installation under the pressure of one anxious pilot. Can not wait to fly this weekend.

My only critisism of Air Magic intercom and V-Rabbitis is that I can hear Hot stuff talking nonsense on chat frequebcy 80km away and it sounds like he is right next to me

My Radio Icom A5 used to give endless problems when powered directly off the aircraft, so much so that I could only run it off battery - Ol Zulu made me some fancy electronic power unit whcih I connect between Radio and aircraft power - Now no problems

It certainly does...with all the "upgrades" on DBP last year this was a great decision

what a pity i read this post now!!! I just installed my Lightspeed Sierra headsets today, and man o man what a disappointment!! massive money later and absolutely K A K quality audio from the head set. it looks good, but thats it!

What did you pay for your air magic product? Do they sell headsets?

Air Magic sells the intercom as well as the headsets. Call Paul and he will hook you up. The cost of intercom and two headsets will be less than one Lightspeed headset
