Vladimir Chechin put the first line for the cheetah onto the drawing board in July 2000, in August 2001 it made its maiden flight.
Now, in November 2008, he has just sold serial no. 101. Congratulations Vladimir! As a celebration thereof, a cheetah fly-in is
planned for the 31st of January 2009. The idea is to meet up over Petit and fly in formation to the Rainbow Aircraft factory at the
Springs Airfield for breakfast. You don’t have to come from as far as Remy & Patricia http://www.luftsafari.ch/, but please be there
and shake the hand of your planes father. More info to follow on the MISASA website:

Cheetah Get together 31 January 2009?
I see the springs newsletter had this article in - Do the cheetah owners know of this idea - I think It's great and would most certianly try and bum a ride with somebody. Hopefully I'm not stepping on anybodies toes with putting it here but I think as much publicity as possible for this idea is great.
Nuts about Cheetahs. Petit is the place.

Re: Cheetah Get together 31 January 2009?
If I decide to come up, then I'll leave the Cheetah at Rainbow for them to check the whole aeroplane ie. cables, hinges etc.
Will decide closer to the time!
Are there not additional details available yet?

Rainbow Aircraft is hosting the fly-in, we'd appreciate it if anyone could inform us on the current owner of Cheetah 001.

Just a reminder again guys. This is happening - times etc will be published still for the meeting in the morning. Basic plan is to form up at Petit and fly to springs for breakfast. As soon as have exact times I'll put it here.

Re: Cheetah Get together 31 January 2009?

Happy new year all!
The Cheetah get together is to take place on the 31st of January 2009.
We'll take off from Springs airfield, land @ Petit, and return to Springs for breakfast.
A couple of magazine journalists/photographers will be joining us, we do however need a 1 or 2 Cheetah owners to accompany the photographers as co-pilots for air to air photo's...anyone interested?
Please contact us at sales@aerotrike to confirm your attendance.
