Uncle Spuddy

Postby John Boucher » Tue Dec 02, 2008 8:49 pm

So.... the Rooinek arrived - softness & puss in boots.... settling in they are! (**)

So all you avid pilots up north living on the frontier - do you fly up there? :?:

Offer the man a morning out-flight for a brekkie or something! Let him feel our hospitality..... (^^) If he was here in Kimberley - something would have been arranged already - albeit not in a trike though!

Kraaines is up there. I believe that he has met Spuddy already. I am sure that he will organise something for the smashing potato.

Groete to everyone,

Bad Nav you humble me as you all do. The sadness is, that I would not recognise 98% of you if we stood at the same bar and yet your kindness and companionship overwhelmes me as it does the softness. A member by the name of Angel PM'd me and asked that I show Babs what she wrote. It was a lovely letter and although my babe is not computer literate (Yet) Angel will be hearing from her. Dankie to you, baie dankie <*> <*>

Tis time now to return to Murph speak so it is. This is as good a place as any to offer an update on Murphys progress after their first ten days in SA. The bad news first. Got the bloody flu so I have and it is most likely an SA bug. Saw me coming through the airport and whaaap, got yer Mr Pom. Never mind, we will overcome, improvise and adapt as we did with the mossies - although that particular battle will never end, just need to minimise the damage they create. Nasty little b@stards they are defacing the skin of my softness.

Good news. We are finally here and most likely to stay because fate dictates it so and by the way. DISH my old mucker. I do agree with what you said about the pom talking k@k, I have had a lot of practice over the years so I have, but you have to understand my boy. That in order to fit into our new country, I had to reduce my intelligence levels by having a frontal labotomy. Home Affairs insisted upon it anyway heheheheheheh (**) (**)

Have to say this so I do because it needs to be said. Most of you have aviation related avaters. Mine is the biggest mouth I could find. Most of you know why I chose it and it stays. All the bullsh#tt before coming here about zooming off in my microlight and then flying around the Kruger in no time at all. Forget it, reality strikes home fast in this country so it does. The truth is I know nothing of your currency, what it truly cost's to live here and your way of life. Ya, I want to fly the sky very much but first the priorities must come first. My softness needs a home. She needs stability and continuity and when she has that, I can then become a boy again doing something I have wanted to do for so long, fly vhpy

Need to go now guys (Ladies). Brain not working that well. Must be the labotomy (**) (**)

Alles van die beste
Enjoy the day and for gods sake. Think before you want to fly like a fool. Your loved to much to lose.

Gee spud man?? your not sounding yourself chap... I am hoping that this move has been a good one nothwithstanding the Labotomy and the challenges with Home affairs. Listen chap, anything that any of us can do to make your stay a more pleasant one and your move a more seamless one, dont hesitate to ask. !!! Perrhaps some advice on the mossies. Blue and white can called peaceful sleep, light spray of the body fairly regularly and a fan positioned over (or near) the bed should help. Mossies dont fly so lekker in a breeze. However that being said the odd little Kamikaze sh*t gets through and you find yourself slapping your ear in the middle of the night !!! (anyone NOt done that??) - otherwise there are candles available that are anti mossie.. forget what they called but they work well... keep a few burning throughout the house and it also tends to help...
Please tell me your on an anti malaria course of pills, Daraclor is very good but if your not then get your pharmacist to recommend something mate, would hate the remains of the labotomy to be malaria stricken!!!!
As regards the rest - you have chosen a lovely place to settle and rome wasnt built in a day. - take your time to acclimatise (sp?) - take your time to smell the roses and the rest WILL fall into place. Whatever you do DO NOT start questioning your decision to move or your fellow microlighters fondness of you. Your a good lad spud, and your here to stay so hang in. alles shall be fine... (^^) (^^)
