Aviators assistance

Postby Leprachaun » Sat Nov 08, 2008 5:17 pm

Hi Folks today whas one of those days that really makes one proud to be a pilot .
Those who dont suffer from forgetfulness may remember the unfortunate incident earlier this year at Microland where we had the runaway trike .
Well Today was the day that the ERMF club really put there money where their mouth is - The committee had a meeting and somone put forward the idea to cancel the year end function - yes cancel the yearend function?????
Whow - it sounds crazy , but after explaining what was to be no one voted against the decision.
It was a generous gesture from one of the biggest clubs in RSA , with an even bigger heart.
They donated the cost of the function to a fellow pilot who had the runawy trike incident earlier this year .
Andre and his caring wife Amanda were their breakfast guests , and a surprise cheque was handed over by the chairman and the moneybags man -
it was a sight to see.- Both Andre and his wife were in tears as he had just received some disturbing news from the specialist this week that they cant do much further for the left knee.
The chances of HIV infection with a replacement is too great and the american version is just too expensive at the current exchange rate .
The gesture from the folks at ERMF would not be forgotten in a hurry - well done folks its great to see that in time of need we look after one another-
And last but not least the other folks at the Africa cup and Numbi , thanks as well , you assited them to clear any debt from their credit cards .

A last note Andres Raptor is up for sale , should you know of anyone who is in the market for a trike do not hesitate to contact me ,

No way would he normally be this quiet about ANYTHING!

He should be arriving here anyday now no?

Ek is jammer fellahs. I meant to reply to this post the first time I read it. Got distracted at the time so I did and failed to complete what was started. Will buy everyone a Klippie for my inexcusable oversight, or if you prefer REMY WITHOUT THE BLOODY COKE AND ICE ## ##

What words come to mind in reading what has been given to Andre. Outstanding. Bloody marvelous. This is the strength of a Brotherhood at it's best and as JetRanger so rightly said, it brings tears to the eyes to see it happen. A single twig will snap easily but many twigs make a branch and many branches make a tree and many trees make a forest so well done all of you. You have my utmost respect and admiration in helping a colleague in his time of need. Baie Dankie
