GT 450 is there an agent in SA

Postby blainec » Wed Nov 05, 2008 12:41 pm

After at least a 12 year gap in my trike flying ,I am cosidering returning back to my routes , I really like the look of the GT 450 .I know its a full import and with the present exchange rates its not going to be cheap , but I would really like someone to point me in the right direction of getting pricing and availability , updated specs would also be great.

Is there a local agent , or do you have to import yourself ?

I understand that P & M were showing a GT450 with a HKS motor at the SPLASH show, that means they have done their development work for the HKS 700 T motor. Now thats a going to be brilliant, same power as a 912 s at reef altitudes. It is turbocharged, fuel injected and intercooled. That means it is less affected by high density altitudes. Still 80hp at 10,000 ft and is 20kg lighter than a 912 S. And coupled to that it will be super quiet.

Grant can you find out more for us please ?? If possible post some installation pictures of the standard HKS. Wouldnt be difficult to swop my motor over.

Probably the HKS 700t will be the ultimate trike. I ma sure that with field experience HKS will jack the motor output up as well. Plus the spares will be less than the Rotax Euro based costs..
