Aircraft Finance

Postby DavePike » Tue Oct 28, 2008 8:30 pm

Could anyone please offer me some helpful advice on how to go about financing an aircraft. I am buying secondhand in the MPL class and the aircraft was assembled by a recognised builder but not by a factory. It seems that my bank in particular, who shall remain unnamed for now will not consider financing this aircraft. Are there specialists in this field in S.A. who do handle financing for non type certified aircraft etc?

Any help in this regard would be much appreciated.

Try AFS and Dennis Jankelow. Both have helped me in the past. They deal with aerie fiancne all day and will be able to tell you if you wasting your time...

PS
Have you considered increasing your bond on your house. it way I did it. Cheaper, far less hassle but obviously depends on your situation...
