Becomming a ML pilot

Hi folks, does anyone have the low down on what is required to get an ML licence if you hold a local COMM, or foreign ATPs?
Would I merely have to do conversions to types, or is there a seperate set of exams etc that would need to be done?
Have decided to evolve....

Cool man!! your cpl exams would do the trick for you. The only test would be a tech test on the type you are converting to for your conversion.

Kevin,
Stay away from Wargames. He is dangerous and a bit suspect.

As far as medical and ground school goes you pretty much have that covered, as with your Radio licence
If you are going to fly 3-axis then a simple conversion is required either by a mircrolight instructor or a PPL instructor
If you are going to fly trikes then a few more hours dual with an instructor is neccesary, plus I would suggest covering the theory of weight shift flying with him as well
Welcome to this side of the fence. Great affordable fun flying

So the next logical question would be, where is the best place to go, near to Durbs?
Don't laugh, but I have never been in a ML before, anyone in the area keen on giving a noob a little flip some time?

Kevin,
Come up to Light Flight in Cato Ridge. Great bunch of guys and one the most experienced CFI's in the country. I am sure we can organise you a flip in a flexi or fixed wing.
Cheers,

Take Cato Ridge turnoff from the N3. Left at the stop street. Follow this road for exactly 3.4kms. Driveway on the right which has board Kamba Farm and there is also an old white wall with LightFlight written on it. Keep to the right up the avenue of trees and this will bring you up to the parking by the hangers. The owner is Geoff Dyer.
The guy with the customised Zimmer frame is John Young.

The fat bastad will be me
We braai every weekend so please feel free to join us.
Andy
