Looking for Bungee cord

Postby extra300s » Tue Sep 09, 2008 2:29 pm

Hi guys

Where in the Cape Town area can I buy bungee cord? I need two thicknesses. About a 1m piece for my wing (+- 4mm thick) & another 1m piece +-3mm thick for the wing tie down. (to compression strut)

Thanks
Karl

Any sailing shop should stock it. There have to be a few of those in C.T.

I am looking for Bungee cord - 10mm thick x 2m - for the "suspension/ shock absorber" of my Windlass. I am from Bloemfontein and got plenty of 4mm, 6mm and 8 mm, but none in the 10mm. It can even be 12mm.
Any idea where I can order it from.

Thanks

Southern Ropes, Section Street, Paardeneiland, Cape Town. They have their factory outlet there and you will be blown over by the vast selection of ropes and bungee cord. Excellent prices as well. It won't help phoning them, rather go there.
I sometimes get confused............But i'm not sure

Hi Greenleader,

I bought 10mm bungee cord from TEXWISE, Randburg, a few months ago. They are yacht sailmakers etc. Their tel. no. is 011 792 0243 / 53.
