Light Sport airy plans

Anyone seen the latest posting on the MISASA site re part 62 and all. What does it mean? are we going to get LSA sometime soon? I seem to remember a July deadline that never materialised. I have tried to read the whole thing, but to be honest I gave up (I'm no lawyer and got totally lost
