How difficult is it ?????????????????????????????
When I am down in the Cape on the 3 rd September I want to give it a bash. Weather permitting of course.
Surely it cannot be all that difficult, of praat ek nou weer bolle.
Yes and before you comment we have a 912 S in the Cobra so lots of power for lots of weight.

Eish Nut,
Try to fly it, not construct it !!

You fly a trike, and you wont want to fly a fixed wing again.

G, neem aan jy gaan met AD flip in die Cobra. Ek reken jy sal die trike geniet, maar as pax. EK het al bietjie saam in trike gevlieg, maar verkies om te vlieg met die konvensionele stok tussen die bene...

. Ek verkies om pax in trike te wees en het respek vir die ouens, maar vir my is wind in die gesig in 3-axis net so lekker en die meer indirect controls pas my beter.

Laat weet hoe dit gegaan het!!

Agent,
You know the theory of flight as experienced on a 3-ax. That would help you with a trike, and it might make it more enjoyable too. Give it a go, if you don't like it, stop. But if you like it, you will never stop

It's horses for courses, controls on the ground, push right turn left etc
But I am sure you will get it right and enjoy,
Cheers,

When you say fixed wing do you mean, non-movable wing, in that case how would you control the roll and pitching of the aircraft? ailerons, joy sticks etc. if that is the case then an old Quicksilver is the closest you are going to get to the seating arrangement and view of a trike.
If you mean solid wind, wrt covering, this is I have been discussing with Gadget for ages now. I asked him if it's not possible to build a solid wing, ala ribs, and ceconite/stits type fabric instead of battons and dacron. He tells me the trike needs a flexible wing in order to turn, "Billow Shift" I saw that RC trike on u-tube and that looks like a solid wing and it flies well.
Ideas

The problem with a solid trike wing is that it yaws when you turn , the guy that builds the dta's build one and it in hanging in he hangar he said it almost killed him not fun to fly and he knows he was french champ.
Morph fly your bb and just give aileron input and see what happens ( it's all in ground school )

Agent, Please verify, but I think the topic is misunderstood.
I understand that you are currently flying a 3-axis, and would like to try your hand at flying a trike??

Great, I don't know where this change of wing topic came through. Maybe, if there is much discussion on it, it can be opened up. But I don't think that anyone would like to risk their life in it.

Think Trikenut got hold of this thread on the nuts.
Ek dink onse Agent wil net die see beloer uit 'n trike uit.
