True, and with extra note on the crankshaft. No TBO as far as I know, and it is a pretty reliable engine, just like your 503.

Do a oil filter replacement on a GS650F and see what is cast in aluminium on the inside of the filter cover ... "ROTAX". Ditto Apprillia 650. Rumour has it that the BMW 800's are also Rotax, but BMW denies it. Says Rotax was only involved in the design.

all the small engines are rotax and bmw will design the motor and get rotax to build them the same with the diesel engines in there cars they are built by Pough same with the brake system made by ATE so yes it's a rotax but the R1200 and the K1200 are BMW engines and just on a info note BMW built aircraft and boat engines and bikes before they built cars
but the 650 and the 800 are wonderfull motors

you guy's must see this trike. The handiwork is exceptional, completely home built, except the wing. All engine mounts, designed by Jan.

On the motor side, Jan has developed a second fuel injection system, complete from the injector sleeves to the new dual ignition system electronics. This second set of injectors throw a better spray pattern than the originals

They have a motor there now pushing 120hp, stunning

Yes, I have also admired Jan's handiwork, but is he going to market this commercially?
