Anyone has any advise/ contact /experience on a thermostatically controlled flightsuit - like Big G has? or heat controlled underwear?
Saw once on BMW biker tourers, used regularly in Canada e.t.c. by bikers.

Theuns Eloff from Autogyro-Africa (SA distributor of MT-03) imports from Auto-gyro Germany.
Not sure what the landed price will be but mine are on their way.
I also looked at BMW bike shops, but they've stopped impporting becasue their are riduculously expensive.
You can get Jackets, Trousers, socks, gloves and even heated undies which all plug into each other. All run off a 12v thermostat serving pilot and pax independently.

No need. The human body has sufficient warming abilities. The secret is to stop the external conditions from cooling you down, i.e. insulation
I have ridden bikes in sub zero conditions (Sutherland -13deg C) at speeds of 180 err 120 kmph
In milder conditions (not sub zero) a good set of thermal underwear is absolutely brilliant.
However the problem always comes down to how your outer layer of clothing insulates you. The problem is how the wind actually cuts through the leathers and freezes you to the bone. I thought of using the rain suit (fully water and wind resitant) to cut the wind off completely. Put it on outside the leathers. The rainsuit freezes, and slowly the cold permeates through the leathers and there goes your testi....cates. Then I decided to put my rain suit (it is a very light weight paper thin suit ) below my leather jacket and pants. Now the leathers acted as primary weather insulation plus accident protection, then the rain suit acted as secondary, trapping the body warmth. I tell you, there were times I felt I was overheating. the only parts that frose was fingertips, toes and cheeks.

The softness gave me one for my birthday. Its a waistcoat and gloves like Big G's. He actually arranged it from the USA. Flew up to the Waterberg on Saterday. It was 2 degrees and she was bitching about the cold while I was turning the heat down because it was getting too warm. Its a real winner in winter.
I am going to be nice and warm on Fridays flight to Battlefields while she is going to freeze her balls off. Shame
