On a group fly out we use 125.2 as a chat channel ,with someone monitoring and calling 125.4 ,lots of gaggles use just 1 number up or down to be able to change back quickly ,125.3 is already getting a bit crowded .

At least this time it wasn't me! I am not guilty!

Was at Kittyhawk on Sunday and heard a PPL take-off and ask for the frequency for RAND-AIRPORT, a controlled airport. People helped himout quickly and on his way he go, no problem. No-one jumped on a forum to shoot him down. Now that sounds to me worse then confirmation which chat frequency to use at your home base, knowingly that another group might be using it.

People are getting to much uptight nowadays.

Isn't it amazing how many people have a bit of a spietkop mentality embedded in them. Most people outgrow it during primary school years, but some never seem to outgrow it.

stop, stop, ek's 'n spietkop.

Open dialogue guys. If you know somebody has done a no-no, call him up or pm him or email him and discuss it. If you don't know who it is, ask i.e. " On monday morning there were x-trikes flying over Springs at xxhxx. Does anyone know who they could be?"

Usually the guys will say, "It was I, why" Then handle it with them

Let's not get to the name-and-shame crap ala that other forum.

Hokaai! Stoppie lorrie!
If I read Willie's post correctly, it seems to me the general tone of the post was not meant in a derogatory manner aimed at stirring but rather meant to be a cautionary one. Yes, it appears the post is based on a misunderstanding, or lack of knowledge of "local rules" but I don't think he meant to offend anyone or kak someone out. Just read the post again.......
I also think Craig answered him quite politely and set the record straight.
Should have been left at that, imho, unless Willie is a renowned k@kstirrer of note

Agreed. Seems Willie was just trying to point something out to help. He didn't have all the facts, but now does. Seems it was innocent misinterpretation. Let's not get too touchy about everything.

as jy my wil skakel en jou stelling, siening of BELEDIGINGS wil bespreek nie,
hierdie forum is nie die plek om dit te doen nie.Ek glo nie ek het enige
persoon/e te na gekom nie.
Kom ons vlieg veilig, en hou ons naam hoog, daar is ander FORUMS wat gedurig fout
soek by ons. (^^)
