Springs Gang 2008 Cosmos Run - Movies

Postby RudiGreyling » Mon Apr 07, 2008 10:22 pm

Hi Guys,

This past weekend the Springs Gang did the Cosmos run again. I have to say this year again the Cosmos is great! (Last year was a dissapointment!)

We had an awesome time! I took my video camera along and made a couple of short videos. If I have to say so myself, but I am getting pretty good at this amateur video making thing!

So far I've got part 1 and part 2 ready!
Part 1: Preparing to go on the cosmos run, take-off and some awesome sunrise flying on our route to the cosmos fields
Image

Part 2: Descending onto some Cosmos patches next to a road, arrival at the cosmos fields and some Solo flying low over the Cosmos fields
Image

The other parts are even better, but they are in the editing shop still, coming out soon to a PC near you ;-)

Just visit my website and follow the links to the movies section.

If you can try and download the High Quality version from the vimeo link provided, look for the .wmv file in the Download Section on the bottom right corner of the vimeo link for a High Quality 720x480 pixel width version, then run it big screen to get a real feel for it!!!

Let me know what you guys think so far, and stand by for the low level formation stuff on the parts to come...

PS: If you haven't seen any of my other video's either be sure to check them out as well, all of them are on my website.

Regards
Groete

Ditto, part 3 is up, thanks for the compliments...The place is due south of Delmas before you get to the N17 Highway. You only have a window of 1 or 2 weeks while they are in full bloom

Part 3: Some low flying with friends....

I am working on part 4 will post that in the next day or 2.

Ditto, the manne van staal went Cosmos scouting on Saturday, and then we flew with the ladies on Sunday. Saw the Ballon, tried to get him on video too, I did not get to that section of the video yet but I hope it comes out and then I will add it maybe to part 5???

Hi guys,

I am a bit dissapointed how little (3) local SA feedback there are on these little videos.
In comparison I have been getting a lot of good international feedback.

What's wrong? Is it just the typical SA culture of not appreciating 'good' local stuff, but oh so easy to complain about the bad stuff?

I make these to showcase my love of flying and our country, but my country men is 015

Just wondering...???

Rudi,
Seker een van die beste trikevidoes wat ek al op die internet gesien het - YOU-TUBE ingesluit - Net jammer die files is so groot, nie almal het "unlimited' bandwidth nie. Keep them coming!

Hi BOER!!
Dankie vir die kompliment....

Miskien moet ek weer DVD's of CD's skryf en vir mense pos as hulle bereid is om posgeld en onkostes te dek...
