Help wanted on tyre selection

I Recently bought a trike with very wide beach tire on and now I am scared of landing on our tar runway as people have told me that they will bite on landing and send me into the grass in a slight cross wind.
Is this true or not and should I go for narrower tyres for the tar.

My previous experience with trikes-no problem.Remember not to inflate your tyres too much I think 1 bar to prevent goose walking
