Margate Airshow.

Postby Chunky » Sun Mar 16, 2008 6:52 pm

Who is going?

I have been looking at the weather and its looking a bit crappy. Was planning to go down friday and return on Sunday. Weather reports show rain rain rain and more rain rain rain.

Not sure if I like the idea of hanging around waiting for the sky to clear to get back.

Our Group has cancelled.

Durban met says absolutely no chance of going anywhere on Sunday or Monday. Looks like you can get down but not back.

Going to plan another trip for this weekend. Looking to go up north for Friday evening.

Any suggestions.

Please PM me MET DURBAN number, I am still hopeful it will clear up, the long term forecast are ussually not accurate  I'd rather talk to durban MET than JHB met when down the coast. This will be the first time down there for me in a long time, so I am holding thumbs!!

Met got the long term forecast SO wrong!

We flew down on Thursday, absolutely perfect WX! bit windy on the landing at 12H00
Friday we had rain, but the afternoon the guys started practising for airshow.
Saturday perfect weather, and great airshow.
Sunday perfect weather and we flew down wild coast to hole in the wall.
Monday Perfect weather and we flew up the coast to Sudwana bay and back to JHB.

A really good weekend!
Groetnis,
Rudi
