Well I can think of a couple, but it is always a balancing act, I'll give you only the negatives, since you ask, we all know the positives...
1) I am part of the minority, History has proven minority always get's it up the @ss.
2) Current minority being taxed heavily and their taxes applied to uplift majority. (Individual do not get value for their tax money, a pay lot of tax please spend it on me.)
3) Aids in SA extremely high
4) Unemployment extremely high
5) Crime is extremely high
6) Public Education and Hospitalisation getting weaker and weaker.
7) Public infrastructure Roads, Electricity getting weaker and weaker.
Democratic leaders elected getting weaker and weaker. (Mandela, Thabo, Zuma)
9) Average life expectancy in SA is 42 years, first world countries it is 80+
Use the CIA world fact book and compare countries statistically side by side and you see why people are struggling with these ideas.

It only needs one violent crime incident from an unemployed aids criminal who has nothing to loose to ‘earn a justified living’ to ruin your family’s life for good! The statistics don’t lie!
As a parent of a young child, I need to at least consider these things, notice the trends, and think about their future. I struggle with it!
Lastly I leave you with this thought:
Put a frog in boiling water and he jumps straight out, put him in luke warm water and turn up the heat slowly and you will cook him before he knows it.
I struggle with this every day lately!
Now let us leave this sh!tty discussion on the ground and go fly and be free!

Well said Rudi. You have summed up many hundreds of thousands of white South Africans feelings.
It is so very very sad and heartsore to leave, but a reality of survival.
