Demon wants to leave Forum

Postby grostek » Wed Feb 20, 2008 5:16 pm

Hi Demon,

I am aware that the issues have been resolved that made you consider such a move, but just want to say something without hijacking a thread.

I was a long time lurker on this thread before I made my first posting and have always been impressed with the fairness and maturity of your postings, and contiue to enjoy your contributions.

I get the feeeling that almost everybody (there are maybe a person or two out there who dont agree) has the highest respect for everything that you have done and hopefully will continue to do with your contributions.

You are basically the father figure for many of us and probably our "Leader" .

Thank you for all you have done to make this Forum what it is today.

Kind regards.

I think morph deserves most of the credit for the forum :!:
I am over my little wobble, i also love the forum and all the guys in it, and
accept that, as on avcom, there will from time to time be a tiny minority
who don't conform to my personal values and ideals, or to the guidelines of the forum :?
I do accept this, and have almost never deleted, edited or moderated posts if at all possible.
I will continue to enjoy the company of all 1400 forum friends, many of whom, such as duck, san, tailspin, morph, dish, rudix, agent, nkwazi, andreb, cobra, big-d, darkhelmet, john young, wart, dieselfan, thunderboy, smiley, skybound, arnulf and unicorn, gr8-day, rudi griffen, FF, KB, ZUlu1, ace, mogas, kfa, bacadi, lamercyfly, ian, t-bird, slysi, massimi, larry mcg, iflihi, chaz, andre soncex, blue angel, ZU-NEL, crusty, cornell slabfish, 150, tobie, pmarshall, velocity, clueless, alanmack, porra, warren, mj, skygroupie, jacques and many, many others I have met personally and befriended as a direct result of the forum-----

Oom Demon, please dont become like a certain old Oom Agent who had just gone missing  There is still a lot of love in this here forum, dont loose faith  we will find peace again.....San

To everyone, We should stand together and get the flying spirit going again. All these issues and problems is dragging all of us down and we seem to have forgotten the one thing that brought us to this forum, the love of flying. Embrace this.
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.

@ Demon and Morph:

Keep a beady eye on the posts and delete what ever is in any way offensive to other members as you have done in the past. It might p%ss some okes off, but this is a small price to pay for a pleasant and harmonious forum. It is realy no fun to participate in a forum where just about every thread has the potential to end in a bun fight. Unfortunately this is the case on just about every other aviation related forum. The most acidic forum I came across was the microlight section of a german aviation forum. Some good gen there, but to find the pearls of wisdom between all the mud gets very tedious. In the end I did not bother to visit that forum anymore.

Please keep this forum as pleasant and informative as it was in the past.

Regards,
Arnulf

Demon - agreed. This forum is really great, and I too have made some great friends right here on Microlighters.

There is some negativity around but I can understand it to some extent and perhaps we should allow guys to get things off there chests here, where people are willing to listen - But keep it cival and not get into personal attacks. A lesson to be learnt I suppose

Thanks Demon, Morph, DH and the other moderators

Demon, what's this bloody nonsense of leaving?

I turn my back for 1 lousy day because of a virus bombing my PC & looks like the same virus infected your thought patterns....

You can bugger off to Canada, USA, OZ or NZ but under NO CIRCUMSTANCES may you migrate from this forum - CAPICE?
