Flying in Zambia (Vic Falls)

I will be accompanying Softness on a business trip to Livingstone, Zambia early in March and would like to know if anyone knows of a school/airport where I can borrow/hire a trike around that area without having to pay the 'tourist' price for a flip to the falls and vicinity.

Also are there specific regulations that I will need to know about, eg. special licence requirements that differ from SA?

Any comments will be highly appreciated.

Thanks Demon,

I will get hold of them and maybe have an opportunity to experience one of Africa's greatest landmarks from a different angle :) :D  =D*

Batoka wont allow hire and fly because their trikes are 9J registered. I lived in Livingstone for 4 years and know Daan Brink of Batoka well. I tried to hire and fly from them in June - no chance. Pay for a 15 min flip, I think its about $75 - well worth it. They use Cobra 912's

If you need any more info on tourist activities please pm me, I was in the
industry there!!

You will have a great time in "Gods own country"

Thanks Nkwazi,

I just need to get the final arrangements and will then contact you.

I tried Batoka's website and I just get a message stating the website is currently unavailible. I have however gotten hold of another website via Google, ie http://africanadrenalin.co.za/safpar/upper.htm where they advertise:
Flight duration ranges from 15 minutes which offers stunning views of Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River; to a 30 minute flight which goes down stream over the Batoka Gorge or upstream over the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park providing an excellent game spotting opportunity

I will contact them as well as they do not have prices on the website.

Thanks again
