Hallo Slow,
I was number one on their books, but, I have not received a policy contract from them. I have sent them mail yesterday, requesting the latter.
No news from them yet.

Me says , if its too good to be true , its too good to be true -
It sounds like , and I repeat that ole Slow poke has met with some slow , very slow payout ????
Am I right or am I wrong ????
Why would he ask the question ????
Me DGB isnt insured and I regret the day that I ensure it and maybe they wont pay - why hasnt it worked previously ????
I am willing to bet a used 582 1623 hour crank that the cronies at the surance possie are giving him gas - see gas is something like a promise , but when you want to use it and you hadnt checked it out proper it was a promise and some oke is enjoying some lekka holiday with the goose an all in Mauritius at your cost ,
Come on slow Poke let us know the outcome - The cranks available

Yes watch it ! I sent a email to DJ&A in December asking them whether if my insurance will be valid after Jan 1st. Got an ambivalent answer and when I pressed for a yes or no the answer was no.

Hi guys, sorry for only coming back to you guys now but things a bit hectic at work right now. After my little incident, i took the plane to Solowings and they made an assessment which was that a few parts had to be replaced / fixed - this included the following:
Trike: cart boom, bow spirit / elbow, front shocks, rear shocks / landing gear - replaced rubbers inside rear shocks, replaced rear landing gear brackets, fixed trailing link brackets for rear landing gear, various nuts and bolts replaced. See attachment for prices
Wing: Wing stripped and inspected, 2 eyelets on trailing edge replaced - they tore out of the material (the two inside luff lines) - no other damage. I then decided that they should change my Leading Edge (about time) which they did, they also upgraded the spreader bar tension cables to the new specs and re-trimmed the luff lines - also a modification by solowings. see attachment for prices
The total for the repair? R 13,704.00
Excess : R10 000
Now The wing - because not really damaged due to the incident (except for the two eyelets in the trailing edge) was excluded for insurance purposes.
Therefore Total repairs Excluding wing came to R8707.98
So with a co payment of R10000-00, the claim was settled ot of my own pocket and I phoned Mr Johan Nel, whom said he will take the matter up with safire insurance.
Two weeks later, my excess was decreased to R7500 and they said they will pay my travel expenses which was +/- R2000 fuel and lodging for two days.
So out of the whole ordeal I was paid an amount of +/- R4000-00, better than nothing.
But I'm am wondering if it is worth R700/month
On the other side, i would like to thank solowings for their speedy repairs, i left kuruman on the Sunday, arrived in pinetown Monday morning 08h30, my trike was finished on Tuesday 15h00! thanks solowings!
