How many 503 SI's

Would be interesting to know just how many 503 single ignition beasts is still soaring the skies and with how many hours?

I sold mine (wgk) to Big Al approx a year ago, she served me well for 10 years- never missed a beat, ever, she is still flying (from Springs) as far as i know, manufactured in 1989 if i recall correctly.

Got one on our MXII. Still flying strong.

My trike still has one on.
About 160+ hours after last overall.
Compression still very good.

One at Morningstar in a Quick Silver, had an engine out on the last flight and landed in a field. No fault of the engine tho', the owner only flies about once a year and then doesn't even do a proper preflight. It was fuel related that caused the engine out. It hasn't flown for more than an year now.

WL 28 is her serial number, built 1986, TT 586 hours, engine 586 hours, fly every weekend, runs like a dream.

Are you perhaps refering to ZS-WMG? That is the best looking windlass I've seen in a looong time.
