I mean the youtube "technology" isn't new, infact I can play the youtube files off of my old DOS fli player!!! Unless you think DOS is new

When people download or view a file on the above type websites they think they're getting small files, try looking at the size of a downloaded YouTube file

Pity www.trikepilot.com has gone this route as I got many HIDEF clips from there

Whats worse is that MOST people think they have to log BACK on to YouTube to view the file again...ironically it mostly then REDOWNLOADS and you lose any bandwidth advantage you thought you had by watching a F grade clip in the first place, You have now in effect downloaded the 2 min 10mb file twice or thrice depending on view count!
For those that want to know where the files are stored, you can retrieve it easily by doing a search on your "user" folder for files > 1mb and not older than say 1 hour - "C:\" will work too. It's normally called something like "getvideo[1]" sometimes with or without an extention, rename to .FLI or FLC and a normal Media Player Classic can play it no probs. Your search normally only returns 1 or 2 files so you can't get confused.
Another tip, I mute the clip and after a few minutes once I know the whole clip has downloaded I play the offline version, that way no "HICCUPS" as the infamous "buffering" dictates.
Remember for the non pc clued up, what you view from a webrowser IS first downloaded onto your PC and then viewed.
Perhaps you shouldn't do the above as I just removed one of the bandwidth irony's and hence YouTube and the like will live longer

Anyone want a prime example of nice WORTHWHILE clips check out Damien's stuff it's worth keeping the version from his site. The YouTube / MySpace stuff is good for, well I don't quite know.
