Fairy wraps it up

Yay!! She has done it.

The Fairy has passed all her ATP subjects......the exams are klaar.

Man, a great story. From Hang glider pilot to microlight pilot, to microlight instructor, then PPL, then multi-engine commercial with Instrument Rating, then passed all PPL instructor exams and now passed all ATP exams.

And now she has just landed her first job, flying solo for a survey company......

It seems only yesterday that we started La Mercy Flight Park. And how she waited, and waited, and waited for her turn to fly (Cause she gave birth to our 3 children, and wuz always pregnant).

Now she's flyin and I'm lookin after the kidz

Once again, to all our friends and fellow pilots who have shown concern and interest in our wellbeing, specially after the closure of La Mercy, thankyou.

I am sure that within 6 months FF will be in the co-pilot seat for one of the local airlines................

I am just amazed.........

That is a good comment Demon. I was quite amazed the other day to find some of the line pilots that do not have the passion for flying anymore and that it is now just a job.

I know Fairy will never loose her passion. Congrats - happy landings Anette.

Thanks guys. Grumpy told me today that he put the post on, and I should have a look at all the well-wishes.

I've had a number of family members comment 'well done on becoming a pilot' How do you answer that one I've tried to tell them that I have been a pilot for 13 years... but it is generally met with either a confused look or 'I meant a REAL pilot' Thankfully, although we do not choose our family, my friends all have the right idea

One of the main reasons I want to fly the big irons, is to have a job which makes enough money to allow me to fly REAL aeroplanes like trikes, dragonflies and hang gliders as well. So far it seems that I should rather have become a plumber But its been awesome, and I am enjoying all the challenges along the way.

Thank you very much, everyone, for the great messages of encouragement. Griffin, those are the nicest words I have ever read...I don't think I can ever really live up to it, but it made me smile.
