new school and airfield

Postby lamercyfly » Sat Sep 01, 2007 9:22 am

Hi Folk.

Annie and I have acquired a piece of land not far from our old airfield, and together with a bunch of fellows intend opening a new field for Light Sport planes and microlights.

We do not want to own a training school, and have decided to offer the opportunity to some-one else.

So, if you are an instructor, or intend becoming one in the very near future, you are wellcome to contact us on either this page or PM, and fire away the questions.

I will gladly act as CFI and AP for you if you are only a C grade........

We will also assist you with all our knowledge gained, both in the training and flip operations.......

If having a great life at the coast is what you want, while flying trikes for a living(and a good living at that), then this is for you........

Later,
David Daniel

Great post, but you don't do the decent thing and tell us where you are in clear! The only geographic hint in the post was 'La Mercy Flight Park', and being 'at the coast' which candidly means squat to me. Perhaps you're presuming readers of the post know stuff that some of us may not necessarily know.

Then again, maybe I'm being presumptuous and that this geographic enigma is entirely intentional, and if so, I apologise.

If not, do the decent thing, make it easy for us complete idiots - country, province, nearest big town/ city/ major geographic feature and yes hell - GPS co-ords, preferrably in a format that you can copy and paste into Google Earth or Mapsource and not go through some major algorithm!

(This point holds true with a number of the flight schools that have posted here)

He he Griff...

Nick.
Their plight has been widely covered on here, Avcom and many other sites and mail groups. A search for La Mercy on Google or on here would have revealed all...

PS
La Mercy is close (inland) to Umhlanga Rocks on KZN North Coast where new King Shaka International Airport is supposed to be built for 2010.

Check out www.comefly.co.za for more info of the old site...
