I have obtained the rights for the aviation industry for this product.

Runways:
If you have like steel marker plates on the side of the runway these must be prepared and painted with white enamel. Once dry then my product will be sprayed on in two layers and allowed to dry. These plates can be placed next to the runway like a reflector plate but as soon as it gets dark then this product gets to work and will glo and provide light for a period of between 10 and 12 hours. No batteries or power lines or panels, nothing but the prepared and painted plates.

One can also use it on road marking paint for tar runways and again it is put on after the road paint is dry and should last for upto a year.

Used and tested on a small sheet of paper the size of 2 business cards the amount of light created, one can read from.

Unfortunately the stuff is very expensive and around R350.00 per litre.
It can also be brushed on but lines are visible then so spray is the answer and a litre will also go further.

Believe me it will be visible for miles at night and at nice green flurecent colour.

I will now make up some plates for those interested to first view and test on the runways.
This will never be beaten in the bush as long as it is kept reasonably clean.

Normal terps is used for the cleaning process of the brushes and spray guns.

Here in Grahamstown, along with many other airfields, I am sure, we have had aircraft divert when Eskom failed to deliver for our runway lights. We have been toying with the idea of installing a gen-set activated by clicking the ptt a number of times on our frequency - as we had in the past on eskom power - but your paint sounds like it could be a much simpler.

Some questions: -

you seem to imply that the paint needs to be reapplied every year. Is this so? if so, we would have to factor in the long term costs of maintenance.

I am also looking forward to reports from pilots who have done night landings with just the paint markers.

Could you use the stuff to replace lighting inside a building? Does it have to be 'charged' with sunlight before it glows?

depending on the intencity of light you need yes then once a year one new coat will be needed. Cost I cannot tell yet for the second coat but will be much less.
Yes it can be used inside buildings depending on the surface of paint then a different product to be used.
It all depends on the surface, a normal light globe will be enough to charge it, the time period might just be reduced to say 6 hrs. After the last light has gone out.
