George and Andre want me to build them something with a "Classic look". OK, so far I have the right aerie for the job. An Explorer. AND the right sort of engine.( Round with a lot of cylinders.... :D ) Colour scheme: This is where the creativity of you ok`es comes in. I suggested overall Ivory white, with Pontiac red primary trim, and Brown or Black for secondary trim. Help please!! :D

Hi Boet, RV & JCVB

Check out the following website for the Savage Cruiser and Savage Classic website for some ideas so here are some from that website:

http://www.aerosavage.com/

The website works a bit strange if you click on the links on the page it only shows the Savage Cruiser, whereas if you open the site and first click on the Yellow Cub-like Savage Classic, it takes you to the Classic's website where I got these pics

RV sides with Ivory, red & black or brown. RV4ker recons white, red and gold trim... I think that white red and dark red on the Savage looks rather nice? :D

If we talk about a classic look... do we think late 40's, 50's or early 60's maybe Rudix on this forum could help with some photos of the Bakeng Duce at Petit, I think the Brown&beige with a "Boet" inspired pattern could work?

My 2c

Also, I understand the idea is to fit some vintage "steamliner gauges" in the panel... of hoe?

Broker, jy het die idee. Net "steam" gauges. Hoe eenvoudiger, hoe beter, hoe minder om verkeerd te gaan. :D
