The high pressure is still ridging slightly over the eastern parts of the country, resulting in cloudy conditions and fog patches along the escarpment and highveld for today becoming partly cloudy to fine later on in the day. Another cold front is expected to reach the West Coast this afternoon. With this cold front widespread rain can be expected over the Western Cape, where significant falls of rain are expected, becoming scattered as one moves more inland into the interior of the Western Cape and southern parts of the Northern Cape, where it is also expected to be windy. Ahead of this cold front, dry and windy conditions favourable for the development and spread of runaway fires are expected over the interior of the Eastern Cape, southern Kwazulu-Natal as well as Free State and North-West Province. On Tuesday this cold front is expected tp pass over the central parts of the country, with morning showers expected along the Cape south coast. The south-eastern parts of the country are expected to receive scattered to isolated showers and thundershowers. Very cold conditions can be expected over the high ground of the Western Cape, Northern Cape and Eastern Cape. On Wednesday cloudy conditions can be expected over the eastern parts of the country, where slight cooling is expected. Maximum tempertaurtes are expected to recover going into Wednesday and Thursday over the western parts of the country. Fine conditions are expected over most parts of the country on Thursday, with a cloudy to partly cloudy start in the Lowveld areas with morning fog patches expected along the escarpment. Dry and windy conditions can be expected once again over the Northern, Western and Eastern Capes, ahead of another cold front, which is expected to become a cut-off-low late on Thursday, which will bring showers to the west coast on Thursday and Friday. This cut-off low is expected to slip south-east of the country. Some cooling is expected to take place over the Western and Northern Cape on Friday. Berg wind conditions can be expected over Kwazulu-Natal and Lowveld areas of Limpopo and Mpumalanga on Saturday, where fine conditions are expected.
Enjoy your flying,
Henni
