Put your GPS in road mode and let it direct you there... You left it in the aerie or is the engine still on?
Tedderfield <> Solitude exactly as I understand - but the RIGHT on top of other from my knowledge!

Take R82 past South Gate Mall, just after Klip River Drive turn right, then couple 100m's the field is on left. Solitude & Tedderfield are the same place. Old Solitude strip is on South of the New Tedderfield strip (couple 100m's).

Tedderfield is just of (South) of the R550 (Grasmere Road) between the R82 (Golden Highway) and the N1.
If you take the N1 South out of Jhb, take the R550 Grasmere turn of to the left just before the Grasmere Toll Plaza, and it is on your right a few Kms further. If you take the M1 out of the city, continue past Uncle Charlies until you get onto the R82 (Golden Highway) and turn right onto R550 Grasmere. Now the Airfield is on your left a few kms furhter.
If you take the R59 South towards Vereeniging turn of onto R550, cross the R82 and its on your left.
Solitude runway is parralel to, and just to the South of Tedderfield.
Regards
Barry

Pumba my china........you ain't gonna find Tedderfield by those directions. Sorry.
a) You can't turn off the N1 South onto the Grasmere R550. The 550 goes over the N1. There's no junction.
b)Turning right onto R550 from R82 won't get you there either. The turn-off is the next one after the R550/R82 junction, at the Danie Theron Church.
and for Cobra......
The map you posted is correctly coloured but the problem is that the route shown goes through the Engen One-Stop service station, out into the mealie fields on a farm road and sometimes the gate is locked to the mealie field. Also only accessible travelling Northwards on the N1.
