Can any one help, looking to buy a Hennie Malan Prop for my 503 with an E-Type box ratio 3.47.
- Whats the workmanship like
- Will it give more thrust
- Is it good value for money
At present I have an Ivo Prop on
People are saying that the Ivo Prop thickness is to close to the prop where it should be lower down on the blade, as with a wood prop.
Anyone have a wooden prop that I may try
What is a George K prop like

My Windlas had a Geo-Killey prop on , had a bit of vibration at higher revs but once I had it balanced by Piet de Necker and set it up properly it was perfect

Batman
I bought a few props by Hennie Malan for my 503 motors. The price is right, and I cant complain about the quality.I can recomment a Hennie Malan Prop for a 503 with an A & B gearbox.

GEOKELLY has jumped ship many moons ago to aus. P De Necker repair Geokelly props as well.
Why a 3-blader on a 503 and not 2-blader?

OK
Before you make your choice.Go and visit both workshops of P De Necker and H Malan. As you prop is as importand as you engine, and will prop your trike for a long time if maintained well. Also ask manufacturer if he is willing to give your money back if prop don't work.
2-Blader wood is 22% more stronger physical than 3-blader wood.Give better take-off thrust & fuel consumption.
Down side -more vibration .Although your 2-blader is balanced. With a 3-blader your power is now devided by 3,thus gives you a smoother prop.
Conclusion - spent rather more for a proper prop than to by again.

PLEASE do yourself a fav mate, P-PROP. Value for money wise, unbeatable. Remember: The bitterness of poor quality will be remembered loong after the joy of a low price......
