Was based at Rand. I did some time in this KR, lovely plane :D . Owner (Frenchman) exported it to France two years ago. I last heard he could not get an ATF from the French authorities. He's since scrapped it and now lives in Australia. KR is still in France

Dave King used to fly this one. I remember it well and took a video at Vanderbijl fly-in about 13 years ago

Serge Vidal took me for a flip in this aerie (only time I been in flying KR). I tried to buy it when he went to Maritius from here...

PS
Norman S tells me Dave King's KRII was sold to a guy in CT. I put in an offer on it some time back, but the owner at the time wanted to do a license on it. Eventually when he could not find instructor he sold it. Has linbasch (sp?) motorised glider engine and a new paint job.

Originally built and flown by Sakkie Halgreen who was tragically killed in 1987 while test flying another KR. It was auctioned off after his death and is now based in Springs. The KR is still airworthy but has not flown since Sakkie's death.
