It is official!!! As of about 10h00 yesterday (28 May 2007) I am divorced. The time has really gone quickly from the first time my ex-wife (I can all her that now) told me she wanted a divorce to now has been just under 4 months. It is amazing how easy it is!!
Well, lock away your daughters, keep your wives out of site and introduce me to all your lovely single, female friends. Wart is on the prowl.
Thanks to all for their words of support and sympathy; so begins a new chapter in my life.

Just be careful in which bar you say that, next thing you know you are doing flying of a different kind

Some of you may know or have heard of my ex-wife, Carla. She had started taking flying lessons about the time our divorce started (1998) and she got her license shortly before our divorce was final, later that same year. Yesterday afternoon, she narrowly escaped injury in the aircraft she was piloting when she was forced to make an emergency landing in a garden in Cape Town (bad weather), and crashed. The absence of a post-crash fire was likely due to insufficient fuel on board. No one on the ground was injured. The photograph was taken at the scene and shows the extent of damage to her aircraft. She was very, very lucky!

Sorry Wart man.
Pitty it did not work out.
As soon as all the biterness fades away most good memories will last.

One morning, Van was sitting on his stoep smoking his pipe, suddenly there was a loud BOOM and a sudden flash of smoke appeared in front of him. When the smoke cleared, the astonished Van saw this frightening figure in red, complete with horns, pitchfork and tail.
The devil expecting Van to run with fright, was disturbed by the sight of Van still relaxing comfortably in his rocking chair, smoking his pipe.
Angrily the devil thundered, "Do you not know who I am?"
Van replied in a nonchalant way, "Sure I do."
The devil was extremely puzzled. "Do you not fear me?"
"Nope! Not at all!" came the reply.
"Why not?"
Van snorted, "What for? I’ve been married to your sister for 35 years!"
