Been in for a re-engine and a cleanup and revamp. Took her out to the airfield this afternoon. (And you thought I make only nosewheel jobs? )

Geluk Boet... lyk stunning! There is something about a taildragger BB, and if she's yellow, so much the better.

Intesting tailwheel there Boet. Is it a solid or pump-up job? Also does it unlock?
Nice paintjob, I like the black lift struts.

Mogas,

That tailie is one of these "moped" pump up jobs. Gives a much softer ride. I found a supplier/ manufacturer of brake cables of quite some considerable note. These turn the BB cable brake system, that used to work just so-so, into something that REALLY works. So goodbye hydraulic brakes. I can nail the inside brake on this aerie, and she pirouettes around very smartly. The taily does not "lock". :D

I hear you about the standard brake cables. I bought new bits from my local brake shop and made new cables, SORTED! The standard outer cable housing used to compress when you applied brakes and this made the brake system mushy. Now not interested in hydraulic brakes anymore.
I also had a nice little pump tailwheel, made the taxi nice and smooth. but I lost it on takeoff due to some kak welding by me. Now back to standard till I can either find my old one or get to Luxembourg to buy another.

Come visit, so I can give you some welding lessons.  One feels rather stupid when landing and your tailie wheeletjie passes you on the landing run. Happened to me. Seems to happen in the best of families....
