A BMW came Flying through my wall last night ...

Yesterday at 23h00, a youngster speeding in a BMW lost control and smashed down my boundary wall.

Needless to say, the lack of sleep left me feeling dysfunctional and therefore not able to fly today.

This youngster, a technician at a franchised dealer was “moonlighting” and sorting out this customer’s car at home. Then he decided to take his girlfriend for a ride and show off.

Well, I just want my costs back from him. Currently, I have got a guard 24 / 7 and the insurance excess is some R 5 000.

If he does not cooperate, I will get a garnishee order in my favour.

By the way, the BMW is a write-off. Have a nice day youngster.

Regards
John ZU-CIB

PS: Actually - this post has bugger-all to do with flying. Therefore, once the regulars have had a chance to view it, I ask that the mods delete this post.

Hi Arnulf,

Yip - it doesn't get better than a Friday night.

Assume that if I can get it repaired by Thursday, it will be a week.

By the way, he also smashed off our water mains - so left the house dry so to speak.

My pavement is still covered in bits & pieces from the BMW and pieces of wall have been flung all over my yard.

I do hope that this youngster cooperates.

Like I said - this has nix to do with flying - just posted out of interest and the mods can kill soon.

Regards to all

R 35 000 no receipt, you got a deal :!:

Everyday that passes, he owes another R 540 for the 24 / 7 security.

He was supposed to be here at 19h00 tonight.

Will advise.

Hi John

If he was moonlighting then he probably does not have a job right now and there will not be anything to get a garnishee order over although he may have some form of assets you could attach.

I am not too phased ...

Does he never want to work again [only 20 years old]... :?:

Never pay tax ... :?:

Never be on UIF ... :?:

A garnishee order can be very patient. :!: :!:

Better to cooperate youngster

He was moonlighting 'coz the customer's Motor Plan had elapsed - exceeded 150 000 km. Tried to "save a buck" and lost a car.
