Yip - leave it in Germany.

Seriously though - BMW engines have not proved to be the best in South Africa unless you like practicing dead-stick landings for real on golf courses.

Jens - one guy had his BMW engine go quiet 3 times   - since fitted Rotax.

The second guy German and all insisted on his German BMW engine - now also flies with Rotax - put down on Margate golf course - broken leg and trike after his BMW engine went quiet.

But - please post specs and prices FOB etc. on the manufacturers forum - we are all passionate about trikes and would love to see what you got.

What were the causes of the beemer going quiet?
I know Alan Piltz was used as dummy test pilot on such a BMW conversion last year - Had 3 engine outs at Kliprivier and then advised the owner to get a Rotax.

Said it made him feel like he was back in the old days of microlighting where engine-outs were not that uncommon.

Rotax is expensive but it works

Seriously though, I would like to see pics of the trike
