Fortunately it was a pusher prop, otherwise definitely someone seriously injured or dead.
More Aeronca Champs has been written off on the ground due to runaway planes (all handstarted) than in the air.

If that aircraft did not plow into the people it would have become airborne and then it would have been a real problem

Guy at airfield starts his trike all the time by hand, facing the hangar albeit 10m away...no brakes, chokes nada...I did offer a helping hand but he reckons na it's fine I do it all the time.
I would hate to prop start?! Freaks me out, already got a crooked finger from an ice skating accident and don't want to have more, altho it does entertain little kids, puppies...

I cannot remember what a/c but if memory serves me right at Krugersdorp a tail dragger was also started like that and ran into a hanger with plenty dammage in the 70's.
