Just ? but why did he need to use the BRS - I'm sure the near miss was not fun but he didn't hit anything that I could see :shock:

I too couldn't see what the problem was - until I opened "more" at the side of the picture - Rans S6 hit the towline of another aircraft - must have been banner or glider towing. Ouch

You can hear the cable ripping through the structure as well Graham....

Also have a look at the position of the port wing later on in the video... :shock:

The pilot can be lucky the cable did not enter the cockpit, that may have got messy.............

I saw the video and I think the pilot did the right thing by deploying the chutte. You don`t know what sort of damage your A/C has sustained or
if it is safe to continue flight.
