Hi Everyone,

I am looking for someone rated on a Rans S12 who would be prepared to help with a ferry flight?

Anyone interested?

Thanks !
Safe flying,
Regards,
Rudi

Hi Everyone !

I am still looking for someone to help me ferry the plane from Port Edward to Petit (JHB) ! This is your chance for an all expenses paid adventure :D

I have updated my flying web page with some information on the RANS S12, here is the link.

http://zu-avb.hopto.org/

Still need to add the other two planes to the page.
More photos and information to follow soon...

Happy and safe 2007!
Rudi

Think the Rans is AWESOME been reading so many stories about them.

I will volunteer - how important is the RANS rating I once saw a video of one  ':- , sadly I just fly trikes  Good luck finding a lucky flyer!

Hi DF!

Yes, I also think it is a great plane, I have done lots of research before buying, hoping to have many adventures with it !

Yes, the rating.... That is the problem, I have an instructor who can give that but he is not in the country right now, floating down the Amazon

Lets hope for the best, or I will have to wait till he returns or truck it, hopefully he is not eaten by some nightmare creature :D

Regards,
Rudi

Hi John,

Yes, trucking is not really an option ! Looks like I found the right person today, will confirm during the coming week but it is looking good. He has LOTS of experience and has flown the route often plus he is an instructor on the S12 so the trip will be my conversion onto the S12 as well.

Things are looking good :D Will keep you updated.

Regards,
R & TK

Well, will-power is weak   , instructor should be back from overseas next week. :)
In my moment of weakness I finalised a deal this morning on a DS650X Can Am Quad.
I will still fly, jusy my mode of transport to the airfield has changed

Ok, so at least you are still flying !!

The Quad sounds like fun ! I also used "alternative" transport this morning to the flying field, but this one has only 2 wheels :D

Enjoy, but be safe !!

I looked at the 2 wheel option, but we already have one quad which is easy for the wife to ride and my 3 year old son can already ride with one of us on with him. The wife consented as I pledged the offroad stuff as a family pursuit (-) .... So we can go on picnics :!: :!:

But that said there is an awesome 20km trail to the airfield
