I was thinking along the same lines, felt like I was the only one at home.
There must be guys flying away from their home turf with some expeiriences to share. Like the dificulties around unfamiliar fields and terrain.
I am unfortunately grounded. Just done Solo and now instructor is away for a few weeks.

I'm guilty - have been neglecting this site for a while. Not going anywhere this Christmas. In fact I'm working right thru!! Will post some pics of my crazy flying in the sandpit. Here are some others taken last week.

NO LIMITS
OK, Ok, I have a question for y'all to ponder. :D
Can anyone tell me what the process is to import a three-axis ML into SA and get it registered and an ATF issued by CAA? This would be for an aerie of which there are NONE other examples flying in the country.
Looking at earlier threads on AVCOM, I see the folks at La Mercy had quite a time getting their Dragonfly accepted by CAA.
Any advice and help would be much appreciated.
cheers and thanks

Went for a burn this morning and the wx is really k@k. Mild easterly breeze, did some surfing of some low clouds. After the wisps dissipated I zooted down to collect Big D for his morning fix. Dropped him and did a lekker low flyby, I was probably doing 80mph groundspeed on the downwind when I shot overhead the hangar!
I will be grinning all day!
