Microlight prices!

Hi Guys

Did you see the new prices of the mikrolightes!

Ja Alex and another thing that is disturbing is the amount of microlights available on the secondhand market.

The initial cost when this hobby bites is surely governed by budgetand what I see from experience is that 18 months later one wants to upgrade but every time money is involved.

What concernes me is that the salesof the secandhand machines are slow and maybe here on microlighters in the classified section if you place an add and the item is sold please inform the rest or change the status to SOLD on the heading so it does not look so bad.

Just a suggestion.

I have also said that if a number of a/c are for sale at a club, somehow get the public to your field as they are the new buyers not the guys in the club, with outsiders coming in you expand the market.

It is the same in real estate as we were all beginners once but we grow as time goes by BUT it has to be created.

Hope this means something to the marketers out there.

I'm with you on this one Agent.
It is a bit concerning if your investment looses 65% of it's value after 3 or 4 years. I wish I could buy all these "experienced" trikes and store them. The market will balance it self out after a while as it always does and then the 2nd hand prices will go up with the demand.

There sure is a lot of good looking and good priced trikes available.

Yes I agree we have a problem in the market but yes there is a lot of good priced secondhand trikes to buy and then later up grade to a new one, but to start of, buy a secondhand one and learn. Still it is getting hi and I looked at the one Quantum 912 I have with 1 hour on for R 285 K and it starts to get to the point where I want to keep it for our school. I compared the local ones with it and it does not come close to it, this is not good for our market here guys. What was expensive is now no more. The guys that is starting out must now pay a lot more so the sport is getting expensive! Don’t you think?

Hi Guys its a freemarket out there , I have never battled to sell a plane .
I dont beleive in buying a new one as it loses too much via the tax and and 2nd hand value right away.
The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the joy of a low price- If you pay too much at a reputable "agent "(thats not Graham by the way) , you may lose a little money , but if you buy a bargain (old Irish saying " If you buy fish and its a bargain , smell it first") you may lose it all , so once again we come to the rouge dealers? guys out for a quick buck , stay clear - spend a bit more and get value for money . Prices are determined by what the buyer is prepared to pay - Take the guys with a death wish, - they are prepared to pay half a million for a gyro - ??? - is that value for money ??? - A Fixed wing - Technam/ CTK Sting ? cheeta - check the prices ??? a good used low hour Trike can be bought for less than 100K - makes ya think , any sellers Talk to me I always have buyers , sold 3 planes last month - Remember there always asking price / negotiating price and a taking price , Flysafely Leprachaun

I also have 2 let me know if you have some buyers for a Safari 582 in a good condition and a Quantum 912 with 1 hour done. I must sell the Safari because I got a new one and she will be standing from next weak when I start to fly the new one. :D

Alls things relative, there is no basis for evaluating a bargain.

To some, holding back on the 'flash' and 'target' Landrover or Pagero to do the mall run or golf course kuier and rather buy a gyro who's prices seem to hold i.e. sell after 300 hours for the price you bought it for, seems a better deal.

I'd also buy my confidence and warrenty in a new product without having to worry if someone had 'doctered' my bargain. Doing your solo hours on your 40 grand 'pride and joy' might put you off flying completely, then have to get rid of the crap.
