Keep up the great work and do not let any negative comments detract from what you are acheiving here.
I agree totally

I know we are part of the greater aviation community but we have special needs and interests. There is no reason why people can't join both but I believe the best way for a forum to be successfull is not to have it affiliated with any other interest group that could limit or influence the content and threads of discussion. This obviously includes those with a specific business interest in mind.
That "special needs" bit really made my day! Lol. On a more serious note, I attempted to register on Avcom only to be informed that they don't accept my "free" type email address!! Pathetic!

Welcome to the forum. We too are being hit by spammers, especially using gmail.com addresses. However we check the username, and email address and if they are humanly logical we enable them. The others such at FLxbertfink we turf

Having read the posts in this section over the last few years with interest I now feel duty bound to comment as follows :

We are all aviators, regardless of what we fly or what it costs. There should never be a rift in this community. How are we ever going to present a united front against those "Men in Midrand" whose God given mission, it would appear, is to keep us out of the sky? Post your requirements on whichever forum you are most comfortable with, but allow the other his right to exist. Remember the old adage "divide and rule" or if you like "unity is strength"

That is the nature of the beast...! Even on AVCOM yhere is serious differentiation - eg. I FLY BOEINGS etc... what do you fly?

But strangely, a 20 page thread was ignited by the untimely death of Rod & Dave in a Cheetah (which is mainly regarded as a 3-axis microlight) where on Microlighters the heartfelt pain was expressed without verbal altercations and criticism of each others character!

Microlighters forum is here to stay as it is hosted, visited and driven by just those you refer to - "aviators, regardless of what we fly or what it costs"
