Hi, I would love to write something for the magazine, but where can I find a copy or how can I pay for the subscription? And I read somewhere that a lovely DVD is also available this month... :P

Hi everyone,

My name is Craig, and I am a Flyingaholic...

I have a PPL(H) - Hence my current avatar, however I am moving into the more sociable and affordable side of aviation...

I am meeting up with Flo Momberg on Saturday to have a look see at his setup, and talk to him about the ins and outs of starting in the Microlight world...

I chose Flo for 2 reasons, one because I have seen him referred to here on the forum many times as an excellent instructor, and he is based less than 5 mins from my house...

Looking forward to many interesting discussions and learning a whole bunch here...

Cheers

Craig

Welcome to "our world" :-)

Pierre Jacobs (on this forum & TOP TV fame) has just completed his training with Flo and of course, give the man a call for peace of mind!

Thanks John and Tumbleweed,

It took quite a bit of pondering to (go over to the dark side) as many uninformed GA pilots I know have always been negative towards Microlights, even though most actually started in reality on LSA... I came to the conclusion that I will never own a helicopter, and that even at H&F rates I can do around 4 hours of flying in a Microlight for each hour in a R22... That and the fact that Microlights are more versatile... A very good friend down in Somerset east will be re-starting his flying in a Bantam in the next couple of months, after a good few thousand hours in GA in the past... He is as excited as you can get about it...

I am really excited about this new era of my flying... Doing it for fun...

So here's looking forward to new beginnings, anyone on the forum who flies from Aero57, and is doing so this Saturday, Look forward to meeting you there...

Cheers

Craig

NOOB attempting to get going on a GYRO

Postby theJok3r » Mon Mar 05, 2012 9:03 am

Hi everyone,

My name is Chris, and I am hooked...onto Gyro Flying.

For years now dreaming of flying a helicopter of sorts, but always just outside my budget - yes just just

I have had a few flights in a MAGNI 16 and intro flight - now to channel the funds.... (-)

Looking forward to learning a lot and read interesting stories right here....

Later

Chris

oh in cape town.
