I am currently doing a PPL on a SAMBA. Once I have PPL I will probably be flying a Bantam (to be registered as a light aircraft). Can an MPL instructor give me a conversion to a Bantam ? I do not know of any PPL instructors that fly a Bantam.

Nope. Must be PPL instructor as far as I know.

PS
Check with pilot who did his convex if reg'd as plane. Think the Bantam guys (Andrew P) will also be able to assist...

RV, Anagod,

GR8-dad has a PPL obtained on a 152. He used various PPL instructors to convex him on to 182, Pipers etc.

He did a Challenger Microlight conversion and a Bush Baby conversion with MPL instructors. The training school were not sure and asked CAA. As long as the plane is not NTCA and is registered as a Microlight you can do it

Morph,

I done same, but problem above states that Bantam will be light aircraft. Therein lies the problem. Light aircraft required Com (PPL) rated instructor. If instructor is MPL then aerie must be reg as microlight.

I did 3 axis MPL as could not find PPL instructor...
