Checked out all your clips. Bloody great!!! Having been to the berg in June I realy enjoyed it alot! We also operated from Dragon Peaks for 5 days. Looked a lot differennt though...frozen waterfalls @12000ft etc.My partner was in Hazyview over the weekend ( driving) apparently you guys were very "impressive"

Absolutely stunning Rudi,

Dragon Peaks is a must for any microlighter, do it fast though as the green people are busy killing our access..

Cosmos is super, you Springs guys should come over to Crosswinds side and do the sunflower run sometime..

Also Freddie sets the scene like no one else .....

Can you tell us more about your video camera and the mounting arrangement please ?

Cheers

Hi Ian,

I'd love to do a Sunflower run, when is the best time of year to do it??

My camera mount, is fellow Spring's friend Dale's idea. It is a tripod head mounted to the control bar just to the right of my right hand. So it is out of the way and still close and handy to control. Being on a Tripod head one can control it and point it in any direction and then just lock it pointing in that direction. Being on the control bar the view is ussually very good, you don't get any flying wires in the view etc. An additional benefit of having it on the control bar means it is attached to the wing, typical the cart sway and swing much more than the wing, which means the pictures are generally more stable. If you look at some of the landing footage you'll see the cart swing but the wing (and camera) stays more stable.

If you want I'll take a picture of the mount and post it, let me know.

Kind Regards
Rudi

Sunflower run is mid March, many fields around 10 miles West of Crosswinds. Guess it varies a bit by season (notice the roses are 2 weeks late this year).

Thanks for the info on the mount, can you give me the model and make of your video camera, the stability is great..

Cheers

Thank you very much for the opportunity to see your videos. I enjoyed them.

If you email me an address I'll send you a video I did of the Wild Coast. It's a full DVD so email is out.
