....and don't throw that airlaw thing at me.... I passed it. Got a full 76% which means that I got 24% of the law wrong.

How do you guys (and galls) record your dual hrs if you are not PIC :?: I am told that airline and Comms pilots record them all as part of their hours for many reasons (legal stuff as well). Also many PPL's do it cause they fly together a lot.

Although it might be of little importance how many hrs we have flown, if someone asks you, how do you reply? 500 hrs Solo and 87 hrs Dual?

Just wondering?

With regard to an MPL license, dual hours is with an instructor seated next to you (The Instructor remains PIC), but you log the hours as dual. Solo hours are obviously without an instructor with you as PIC with or without a pax...

You refer to your flying as total hours......

Regarding PPL hours, the same rule applies......only in multi-crew environments (airliners) are there certain rules, whereby the boy pilot for example logs a % of hours, even though he might not actually touch the controls...but these hours are not for hour building towards a com rating...merely relfected as hours towards a type....

Thanx FAWGie

So both PPL and MPL (once officially qualified), only records Solo hrs in logbook, unless doing a convex or training towards Comms. Flying as Pax with a mate = 0 hrs in logbook (dual).

Confusion clarified. :P
