Microlight Hooligans- Eish Boet!!!!

Postby pietmeyer » Tue Aug 09, 2016 5:47 am

Guys

Please behave and make sure you know when flying what areas are restricted etc. We don't need more regulation to keep microlights out of the sky.

I agree with you Piet.

However - there are just some basics that don't need MENSA accreditation. Don't scare people or animals. Remain respectful to life no matter the form.

Comply? You'll be in good shape - unlikely you'll face the wrath of your mates. And that basic courtesy & respect applies towards others (and towards you) on your motor bike, car, aerie, boat, bicycle - all round, "and we'll all live happily ever after".

Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

Once saw a Google Earth overlay with all restricted areas well marked in a 3D overlay. Simply track your mouse over an area you are interested in going to and it shows vertical heights in colour.

Yes. You can download a kmz file (google earth) of all the airspaces in sa from the atns website. If you run it will show all the different airspaces in 3d with their relevant information.
