Ingwe Annual Fly in 25 June 2016

Postby Gerrit.Tromp84 » Mon May 30, 2016 8:46 pm

Hi all.
With the 25th around the corner. And with the so far so good weather! We are hoping to see you guys starting to arrive at Ingwe from 7:00 AM we will have safety officers as ground crew with radios to report clearance to land and take off. We will use SR West 125.8 for all communication and traffic control. For the guys who are planning to join for the nav wheels up from ingwe 7:30 to 8:00 am.

For those that just want to fly in to ingwe. We will have coffee and rusks as a treat for you.

GTFLYCOM will have a stand at ingwe displaying all products for you to view or buy.

This will be a whole day event so you are welcome to fly in later the day as well, to stop over for a coldrink or coffee.

We will have braai and fires for those who want to braai. Take note that you will need to bring your own meat along as there was no interest shown in the braai packs sceem. However it still can be aranged.

Thank you in advance for those planing to join us. Your support will be much appreciated!

Hi Gerrit,

Please be aware that Aeroden is one-way-in (18), one-way-out (36), so is not approved for touch-and-go's.

Also, as an FYI, it is a right-hand circuit.

Cheers, John

My pleasure Sir! Ingwe is alongside the N14, close to Eagles Creek, right?

What time are you planning to be wheels-up? I might join you before take-off, depending on the light, otherwise I will get you overhead the Magaliesberg.

Sounds like a heap of fun!

Hello Guys
Yes we are just a stone trough away from eagles.. an no transponders needed! We would like to depart from ingwe 7 to 7:30. Gives other pilots time to fly in from other airfields. it will be awesome if you guys can join. I will arange as mutch feul possible +- 200 literes depending on the need.

So if you guys can communicate the requirements I'll arange.

Open to all airies! Not only trikes.

Our runwaysite in use is 130 and 310. We have more than ample runway, consisting of grass and is in good nic. You can find us on Google maps "ingwe airfield"

Shout if you have more questions.

Awesome, thanks Gerrit!

Are both runways in use? I see you gave 13/31 only.

And the radio frequency, 124.800 MHz?

Thanks, John

Guys just a note to all for arias to avoid. Eagles creek is about 2nm to the west of our field. Just listen out on 125.80 for air traffic. Then Ernie ells estate is 1nm to the north, please avoid flying over. Then we have some horse stables on the threshold of 310. Please don't fly over the horse stables.

Guys I am ampt for this flying and out.... and for those who wants to camp overnight are welcome to enjoy a fun evening around the fire. Can't wait to hear your stories and experiences!

I will closer to the time post some aerial images to help air traffic and make you more familiar of the surroundings.

Now ... here's the thing... Eagles Creek... why avoid? Is that restricted airspace because Armand said so?

Class G airspace comes to mind Gerrit... not restricted!

There was a notam or AD issued but that was pertaining to the airfield only (transponder etc iro FALA and EC being private and all that stuff...)

Me... I cant understand that and airfield full of microlighters (Flo, Grant & the boys) can take so much lip from one single entity!
