NOT01/16 UPCOMING RAASA EVENTS, WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS.
RAASA has issued bulletins to notify industry op upcoming events. This has however created some confusion as to the nature of the respective events and who should or may attend.
Part 62/68 Examination Review Workshop.

RAASA Boardroom.

Description: This is a review of the part 62/68 examinations implemented in 2015.
Who may attend: Only current Grade A instructors and ATO CFI’s have been invited to attend and offer comments and further input on the examinations.
Costs: RAASA will host the event at the boardroom, attendance is free.
Part 62/68 Regulatory Audit Procedures and Designated Examiner Course.
4th & 5th of February 2016

Description: This is a training course for candidate or existing Authorised Persons and Designated examiners only.
Who may attend: Only selected candidates as per individual invitation.
Costs: RAASA will host the course in the RAASA boardroom, attendance is free.
Part 62/68 RTE training course
17th & 18th February 2016

Description: This is a Restricted Radio Telephony Examiners training course.
Who may attend: The course is open to existing and candidate RTE’s or Instructors presenting Radio Telephony Training and Examinations, and
candidates who meet the minimum criteria. Interested parties may enquire, however note that limited space is available.
Costs: There is a course fee of R950.00 per candidate - RAASA will host the RTE course in the RAASA Boardroom.
Part 62/68 Annual Instructor Seminar.
19th February 2016
Rand Airport Hangar 50 Conference centre.

Description: This is an Annual Part 62/68 instructor seminar.
Who may attend: All Part 62/68 instructors are required to attend such a seminar at least once every two years to maintain instructor currency.
Costs: RAASA will host the seminar, attendance is free.
Part 62/68 Test Flight rating Training Course.
Date to be confirmed.
Rand Airport Hangar 50, Conference Centre.
Duration Three day Theory, and Two day practical evaluation.
Description: This is a training course for all pilots performing Test flights on NTCA with Part 62/68 ratings
Who may attend: All existing Test flight rating holders, and candidates meeting the minimum criteria as per Regulation Part 62. Note limited space will be available.
Costs: To be determined.
General Note.
Whilst RAASA will provide the venue, speakers, materials and refreshments free of charge, kindly note that all and any expenses incidental or otherwise incurred by all attendees and delegates will be for their own costs.
In the event that ARO’s elect to send special representative’s to attend, such cost shall be as per their own agreements.
