Suggested route Aeroden to Port Alfred

Postby jblaverick » Wed Dec 30, 2015 5:54 pm

Dear All,

I am planning a gentle cruise down to Port Alfred in late April/early May and I am looking for suggestions for an enjoyable route down. I am in no rush and am happy to sightsee on the way, but I am thinking about accommodation and fuel! Not knowing SA that well I am open to any suggestions!

Many thanks

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan s079

What are you flying and what is your endurance :?:

There are many airfields on route and I am sure many would be happy to assist with accom and fuel ##

Check out this link, it's a shared plan so you can edit it...should give you an idea..I used my own fuel burn and cruise, no wind added so it would be true speed to me..but you can change it as you like ##

Hi Madman,

Many thanks - that has given me a good start! Really appreciated. I'll be flying my Bantam - with a 50 litre tank.

Currently spending xmas with the inlaws in Poland - I might come back to you with some questions once I am back sunny side!

Cheers

Jonathan
