Hi there. I want to know if any one in SA own a Fisher Horizon 1that is flying. And if there is any instructors who can give a rating on these planes. I am far from finish building my own but I just want to know if I can do a rating on this type of plane before my own is finished so I can do the proving hours on it. My number:0718950749. Have a nice day

None registered in SA. You will probably need to get your test pilot to do your conversion after the initial test flight.

I am not sure myself - I think you either need a Class 1 Test Pilot rating, or a Class 2 with open type rating to test fly a type you are not rated on. A rated test pilot only need to perform the first and last test flights. A type rated owner can complete the rest of the proving flights.
