K&N and BMC Air Filters .

Postby Jean van der Riet » Sun Sep 27, 2015 7:29 pm

Hi guys .

I did read the " SPAMMING " thread and in no way am i trying to piggy back on the site . I will gladly pay and advertise my services on this site . I trust your feedback will be positive . Please help me in this regard .

I am an importer of automotive and commercial K&N and BMC air filters in South-Africa and have never given thought to the Microlight , Homebuilt and LSA markets until last week . I attend a lot of fly-ins and club events and have realised that the guys are moaning about the prices of K&N and BMC air filters . I was shocked at the prices and have already imported a few parts to great surprise of my fellow aviators . The pricing was close to 30 to 40 % less than what they are paying .

Should i spend the time and import such filters and stock them , and the cleaning and oiling kits on a permanent basis . Would there be market to make it worth the while , and wallet , of everyone involved ?

Hi Jean

Very interesting, what is the price on the K&N Part number RU-1200 or RC-1202? This is for a 582.

Hi Jean

The Flange inside diameter is 52mm
Large end 89mm
Height 102mm
Flange length 16mm
Top outside Diameter 51mm

K&N Part number RU-1200 or RC-1202

I would be interested in a price of single or the double, not sure of part number on the double element. Thanks.
